Diesel Mechanic Technician
Construction Equipment - Excavators/Loaders

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Heavy Equipment Technician, troubleshoots and performs repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, compact heavy equipment, light service equipment, and Diesel engines. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, preventative maintenance inspections, hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emission systems.
Company paid face to face and online training by manufacturers’ is essential and will be provided.
Requirements
- Maintains advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy and compact equipment and related items such as pumps, generators, compactors, etc.
- Performs repair or preventative maintenance on electrical, diesel including rollers, excavators, wheel loaders, rock trucks, and other vehicles in dealer or customer fleet, to maximize safe and productive operations.
- Typical diagnostic repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, driveline, and body components; hydraulic, air brake systems, electrical suspension systems and HVAC.
- Reads and interprets equipment condition reports and/or repair orders, communicates with supervisor for clarification of defects and discuss preventive techniques.
- Accurately completes work orders associated with diagnosis and repairing equipment for customers or dealer fleet.
- Identifies the source of malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on heavy, light and compact equipment.
- Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver's License.

Qualifications for Service Technician - Mechanic:
- Knowledge and operation of construction equipment would be beneficial
- Diesel engine experience would be considered an asset
- Must possess own tools
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- A friendly disposition and a safety-first attitude
- Must possess a team orientated spirit
- Must have a good driving record
- Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 7 days)
Responsibilities for Service Technician – Mechanic includes but not limited to:
- Repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and diesel equipment
- Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
Parts Specialist

Compensation: DOE
Location: Dracut, MA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming calls to Parts Dept
Assist walk in customers
Assist customers with ordering parts
Pull parts to fill orders
Assist the Parts Department with all its needs
Assist with Parts shipping and receiving.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Inventory management. Must be concise and accurate.
Pick and put parts in proper location
Check in all parts and stock parts in the warehouse
Pull parts for customers and the Service department and bill out properly
Ship parts out to customers as needed
Assist with checking inventory and performing inventory counts
Check the showroom daily and make sure it is fully stocked
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
*Other duties as needed or as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have at least 2 years parts experience
Responsible, reliable & dedicated
MUST be computer literate. Must know how to use Word, Excel, Outlook
Very organized & detail oriented. Must be able to accurately convey issues with items not received or damaged in transit
Hard worker
Willing and capable of studying and learning our software and manufacturers' products
Willing to learn all roles in the department
In possession of a valid drivers' license
Knowledgeable about heavy equipment (preferred, but not required)
Ability to make hydraulic hoses (preferred, but not required)
Ability to operate a forklift (preferred, but not required)

Lowbed Driver
Compensation: $30 - $40 an hour
Location: Dracut, MA
Position Details & Responsibilities:
Equipment East is hiring an EXPERIENCED equipment lowbed driver. Must be able to load and unload various equipment including large and small excavators, skidsteers, reclaimers, etc. 3-5 years’ experience is a must.

Service Writer/Advisor
Service Advisor/Writer - customer service
Compensation: $22-$27 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY:
Equipment East, a construction equipment dealer, is seeking a problem solving, take charge person that has excellent leadership and communication skills to join their service department as a Service Advisor at its Dracut location.
The qualified candidate will possess the ability to listen to customer concerns and convert them to instructions for technicians. Timely and complete follow through on questions, estimates, progress notifications, and project completion are imperative.
Responsibilities:
Speak to customers promptly with a helpful attitude; Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts; Schedule service for both customer units as well as internal units, follow up with customer after repair is completed, Communicate well with Technicians and work as a team.
Qualifications:
Mechanical background; Ability to work in a fast paced environment; heavy equipment industry knowledge a plus. Excellent customer service skills
